Agricultural Technician
Daryline Dayzie joined Kansas Forest Service team in 2024 as an Agricultural Technician for the Conservation Tree Planting Program. Daryline’s role includes assisting with greenhouse operation of containerized seedlings and distribution of planting stock during the fall and spring seasons. The purpose of this role is to provide residents with healthy living trees and shrubs for conservation and land management efforts.
Daryline Dayzie is a Navajo resident born and raised in Chinle, Arizona, located on the Navajo Nation. She earned her MS in Horticulture and Natural Resource at Kansas State University and received her BS in Environmental Science at Haskell Indian Nation University. Daryline gained a passion for all plant life as a kid as she and her grandmother would go out to collect medicinal herbs as well as working on the family farm. Outside of work, Daryline enjoys spending quality time with her better half Ashton and fur baby Yazh, as well as fishing new lakes of Kansas.
