Chester Hubbard
Chester Hubbard is the GIS Analyst for the Kansas Forest service. He has lived in Northeast Kansas all his life and is a member of the Prairie Band Potawatomi Nation. Chester attended Haskell Indian Nations University for elementary education until 2019 after which he changed majors and at the start of 2020, he began attending classes at Kansas State University. In 2022, he graduated from Kansas State University with a bachelor's degree in Geography and a Geospatial Information System (GIS) certificate.
Chester joined the Kansas Forest Service in November 2024. His job includes developing, maintaining, and analyzing spatial data across all KFS programs and projects along with overseeing the Champion Trees of Kansas program. Outside of work, Chester enjoys doing beadwork, reading, collecting vinyl, and watching the Pittsburgh Steelers along with Sporting Kansas City.
